Privacy Policy

MileDock (“MileDock,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) refers to the MileDock mobile application published under the public developer name MileDock App. MileDock is designed for mileage and expense tracking for freelancers, gig workers, independent contractors, and solo workers.
1. Information we collect
MileDock is designed to work primarily with information you enter into the app, including:
- trip records, dates, mileage values, destinations, and notes
- expense records, amounts, categories, dates, and notes
- report settings, mileage rate settings, and app preferences
- premium access status related to Google Play purchases
If enabled by your device, app settings, or future app features, MileDock may also use limited device, app, diagnostics, billing, or advertising-related information needed to provide, maintain, improve, monetize, and protect the app.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- store, display, edit, and organize your mileage and expense records
- generate CSV, PDF, and combined report exports
- show summaries, dashboards, and insights
- enable premium features if you purchase MileDock Pro
- process purchase entitlement status through Google Play
- improve app reliability, performance, and user experience
- support app functionality such as settings, reminders, and report generation
- display ads in the free version if ads are enabled
3. Local storage
At launch, MileDock is designed to store your trip, expense, and settings data primarily on your device. If you uninstall the app, clear app data, lose your device, or reset your device, locally stored records may be deleted unless you exported or backed up them separately.
If cloud backup, account-based storage, or sync is introduced in a future update, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that feature is made available.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
MileDock may offer premium features through Google Play subscriptions or one-time purchases. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase entitlement status needed to unlock premium features.
5. Advertising
The free version of MileDock may display ads. If ads are included, third-party ad providers may process limited device, advertising, interaction, or approximate location-related information according to their own policies and applicable law. This may include information used to deliver, measure, and improve ads.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share or allow processing of limited information with service providers or platform providers only when necessary for:
- app distribution and operation
- Google Play billing and purchase entitlement
- advertising, if ads are enabled
- analytics or crash reporting, if added
- legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or abuse prevention
7. Data retention and deletion
Because MileDock currently stores most app records locally on your device, you control most deletion by deleting records in the app, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app. If account-based or cloud storage is added in the future, we will provide updated deletion instructions.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app. However, no storage, device, app, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s privacy
MileDock is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for business recordkeeping by independent workers and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. International users
MileDock is designed primarily for users in the United States. If you use the app from another location, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
